On September 18th, 2016 my wife Jayme competed in the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final, the final stop of the 2016 ITU World Triathlon Series in beautiful Cozumel, Mexico. The events featured top-tier sprint and Olympic-distance races for age-group athletes, elites, Olympians, paratriathletes, juniors and under-23s, as well as an aquathlon to kick off the action. Over 25,000 athletes and spectators from over 100 different countries of the five continents participated in the week’s festivities.
